Self Help Question And Answer

Self-help.....?

Are there any good self-help books for increasing patience and decreasing irritability?

You should just purchase some hypnosis downloads for things like that. Look it up on google. I have had good results for things like this.
You could probably talk to a psychiatrist which is easier than reading a long book. Some places would do counseling for free but I don't know about all places.
yes probably if you look hard enugh you will find one good luck!!
I really dont know about a book like that.I will say I have read lots of help books and they really arent like having an actual person to help you deal with your problems.I suggest you see a real therapist to really achieve your goal.Thats great that you can admit you have a problem-I hope this helps- Good luck:)
If you took the time (ten to fifteen minutes a day say to read the New Testament or Greek Scriptures!) you'd find that God's word contains all we need on earth; Galatians 5:21,22; John 4:24; 1Thessalonians 5:21; are the best self-help tools I ever knew!
Who cares about reading a book when we are already so impatient and highly irritable . What I would do , is to do something you like most. i.e that usually amused or interest you ( window shop , place where nobody bothers you and stay away from people ) this I called self rehablitation . So when you are at peace with yourself than you would be able to control , checked and think better for yourself how to overcome the situation. Hope my self help method works on you.
eat impatien flowers for patience, beech for intolerant beeches, grape flowers for Tyranical , Larch for confidence, Tiger Lilly for meanness, cucumbers to have a cool temper, wild rose petals increase calmness. And if you smoke --quit!
Hi Missy, there is a book that I love, actually, one of my all time favorites. I'm not sure that it addresses patience and irritability completely except that these are both caused by judgements and this book deals with that. The book is called, The Four Agreements, it's a simple read and not a very long book but the message is extremely powerful, and for me, life changing. Let me know if you decide to read this book and if it helped you, hope it does.
FEELING GOOD by Dr. DAVID Burns. I always hated self-help books, but I've got to say this one is really good sense and has definitely helped me. Also, watch your diet. Research blood sugar because it, along with lots of other physical things, can cause irritability if off balance. (oops, I corrected the dr.'s name)
