Healthy Lifestyle Question And Answer

I need some more motivational tips for keeping a healthy lifestyle?

I've found that the moment I get home from work, I get too relaxed and don't want to go back out. So I've started bringing my gym clothes with me to work so I have no reason to go home and I go staight to the gym instead. Have you found anything that keeps you motivated when it comes to healthy eating and staying active that you can share with me?

Every morning I make a list of everything I need to get done that day... (Work, Gym, Dishes, homework, school, vacuum, and laundry, etc..) It keeps me busy and always moving..
I try listening to upbeat music before I go to the gym. Before I know it, I already put my sneaks & gym clothes on & I'm out the door! Sometimes working out with a friend helps. The main thing for me is, I try to think about how good I will look in my cute clothes. It also helps to know that living a healthy lifestyle will keep me around this earth for a long time! :-)
Honestly, the first thing that helped me stay motivated was pictures from magazines of women with nice bodies whom i wanted to look like. Also, looking at pictures of me from when i was younger and skinnier, helped motivate me alot. I just keep telling myself, it wont happen over night but it will happen and when it does i will be much happier and healthier. You really have to look at the bigger picture, the end result. You will not look skinny tommorrow if you walk on the treadmill for 6 hours tonight. People just have to remember that its not a miracle, its a lifestyle change. If you really want to lose weight and be healthy, you have to be mentally ready as well.
I can offer to you how I got motivated when I turned 40 and it changed my life. You can take it or leave it as you see fit. Because I scoffed at exercise and nutritional supplements when in my teens and 20's when I hit 40 my body worked like an 80 yr olds and felt like it. I went to a nursing home, looked at the people that could not take care of themselves, that were drooling all over themselves, and had to wear a diaper. I decided then that I was not going there. Since I started on a specific nutrition program and with moderate physical activity my body works better, feels better, looks better, at 50 than it did at 30. Anytime you need some encouragement swing by a nursing home. It's easy to do but it's also easy NOT to do. If that doesn't encourage you I don't know what will. Good luck and remember the successful will do the easy things that the unsuccessful will not.
